The action of the herb is diuretic, astringent, antiseptic and emollient.
Bear has a special antiseptic and astringent effect on the mucous membranes of the urinary system. Soothes, tones and strengthens them. It has been found to be useful in treating cystitis (inflammation of the urethra) that is resistant to antibiotics.
The herb is also used when there is sand or ulcers in the kidney or bladder.
It can be used to treat infections such as pyelitis and cystitis or as part of a holistic approach to more chronic kidney problems.
It is useful in the treatment of sand (sandblasting) or kidney stones. Due to its high astringency, it is used in some forms of nocturnal enuresis.
In the form of vaginal washes it is useful in ulcers and vaginal infections.
It has an effect especially on the genitals and the urinary system. It is used for the prostate, kidneys and to fight urinary tract infections and vaginal infections, cystitis, leukorrhea, nephritis and nephrolithiasis.
