Buckwheat or black wheat is a seed of a low shrub native to Asia and widespread in Europe.
Buckwheat is gluten free and rich in protein, B vitamins, vitamins E and K, folic acid, minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium and zinc.
It has a beneficial effect in lowering cholesterol and stabilizes blood sugar levels thanks to the soluble fiber it contains.
It gives energy to the body and contributes to the proper functioning of the circulatory system.
It replaces potatoes and rice daily, while it is combined with peas and beans. It can also be added to salads, soups and boiled foods.
Recipe for Buckwheat
Materials
1 cup raw buckwheat
2 cups water
Implementation
Rinse the buckwheat and put it in a pot with water and boil it on low heat until the buckwheat becomes fluffy and absorbs all the water for about 15 minutes. Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon. As it boils it will absorb its liquids and we can optionally add fresh herbs.
