Mountain Tea"
The well-known and favorite, mainly winter, drink of the Greeks "Mountain tea" grows in many Greek mountains. We love it for its pleasant taste and for its beneficial ingredients. Our grandparents preferred it not only as a delicious drink but also as a medicine.
What the tradition says:
"Mountain tea" comes from the plant "sideritis" which is said to have taken its name from the Greek word "iron" thanks to the healing action of the plant against wounds caused by weapons in battle.
It is collected wild from nature at high altitudes.
It is not cultivated.
