WHAT IS BLACK GARLIC?
Black garlic is produced from common white garlic after a maturation process under controlled temperature and humidity conditions.
After this process, white garlic:
1. Loses its color and turns black.
2. Its texture changes and becomes soft.
3. The intense and pungent smell and taste is transformed into a sweet and pleasantly smoky taste and aroma.
4. Its antioxidants are more than doubled.
5. The water-soluble substance L-Allycysteine has almost twice the activity of allicin in white garlic, making it the most powerful ally against hypertension.
HOW TO CONSUME IT:
1. Whole clove (1 to 2 per day with food)
2. Mash the clove and spread it on a slice of bread, toast or make pesto
3. Chop it and use it in cooking preparations and risottos
4. Make "black tzatziki" by replacing white garlic with black
✅The characteristic bad taste of white garlic is not present in black garlic. After consuming black garlic, the characteristic smell disappears in a few minutes.
It is not recommended for consumption by people with low blood pressure, those suffering from immune thrombocytic purpura and hemophiliacs.
No allergic reactions have been observed from consuming black garlic.
