Melatonin is a naturally occurring hormone produced by the epiphysis and is structurally related to serotonin. From a physiological point of view, the secretion of melatonin increases with the onset of darkness, reaching the highest point between 2 and 4 p.m. and decreases in the second half of the night. Melatonin is associated with the control of circadian rhythms and synchronization with the cycle of light and darkness. It is also associated with hypnotic energy and an increased tendency to sleep.
Warning: Adults only. Melatonin can cause drowsiness. The product should not be used in combination with alcohol and / or while driving or operating heavy vehicles. Combination use of sedatives, antidepressants, immunosuppressants or anticoagulants is not recommended.
